For physical indicators section 2:
This section is all writing. Provide descriptive narrative of the separate sites. Don’t discuss both sites in one paragraph.
Avoid drawing conclusions, such as saying things like: “this site is polluted.”
For chemical indicators, section 3:
1. Make and insert your data table(s).
2. Discuss/define/explain each item in the data table. For example, explain what phosphates are and what function they serve in the river.
3. Discuss any things that need further description that the data table alone cannot provide, but still NO conclusions.
For Biotic indexing, section 4:
1. Make and insert each spreadsheet. Copy and paste it. You may need to change font sizes to get it to fit neatly in the document.
2. After each data table for each site, give a quick summary of what the results were. (focusing on the important stuff, not EACH number!)
3. Discuss what biotic indexing is.
4. Describe the field procedure for biotic indexing. (what we did on the day of trip)
5. Describe how one is supposed to read and interpret a biotic indexing spreadsheet.
6. Don’t draw any conclusions.
